The science behind this natural sunscreen:
Mineral sunscreens work by reflecting harmful UVA and UVB rays away from your skin, like a mirror. But chemical sunscreens actually absorb into your skin and convert the rays to heat. Furthermore, chemical sunscreens can be irritating to the skin and break down in sunlight (meaning you have to reapply to get sun protection.)
Natural sunscreens using minerals (zinc oxide and titanium dioxide are currently the only FDA-approved sunscreen ingredients that are minerals) do not penetrate the skin. They are also non-irritating and don’t break down in sunlight. All CōTZ sunscreens offer broad-spectrum UVA-UVB protection.

And they are also responsible for signs of aging like fine lines, wrinkles, and uneven pigmentation. UVA rays also increase your risk of skin cancer.
