There are lots of blogs out there suggesting creative ideas on how to keep your marriage intimate by scheduling weekly dates with your partner. Fancy dinner plans, catching a flick, cooking classes, wine tastings, or even a spa night. But what about your needs, your own quality time. Are you as aware of your own needs as you are your partners? Do you need some personal relaxation?
We suggest scheduling a date night for yourself at least once a week
Be that an hour or two to read in the sun, go for a hike by yourself, journal, meditate, watch a romcom, take a nap, soak in a hot epsom salt bath, or fold a couple ideas into one and book a treatment at the spa. A massage, facial, mani, pedi, hair appointment, or body service could do the trick.
Make sure you come early to find parking (please know you can park in any space labeled “Kate’s Place” as that’s our building name), and to fill out paperwork if you’re new to our spa. We also suggest arriving 15 – 20-minutes early so you can enjoy a eucalyptus steam and complimentary cocktail / beer / wine / kombucha in our relaxation room while in your bamboo robe and slippers. After your treatment, enjoy locally made DANI shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in the shower, as well as sampling other organic skin care products in the locker rooms.
So while date night with your partner is important to schedule and make priority, so is your own peace of mind and personal needs. Are you tired? Hungry? Needing to move? Achy? Let us know what we can do to help you find some peace. Consider taking home a self-care product as you leave the spa in our Welcome Boutique. We sell organic products that have multi-uses like doTERRA essential oils ––use topically while traveling, before public speaking, or in bed before dreamland–– something to ease you any time, any day, any where. Like a mini Date Night With You everyday.
